Our First Home (Before Pictures)

Tanner and I are beyond excited about our first house purchase! We were actually in the process of buying the house across the street for a lot more money before coming across this one. While showing my dad the house he talked me into talking to the neighbors to see how the neighborhood is. While doing so a neighbor walking by told us about this house (not on the market) that was about to be sold back to the bank. The current owner had a reverse mortgage on it and was moving into a nursing home. She could either give the house to the bank or sell for what she owes on it. If she sold it for more, the money would just go to medicaid, so it worked out great for us.

We were very interested since the house was about $40,000 less than what we almost paid for the other home. When talking with the owners children who were there cleaning the house out. My Dad recognized on of the brothers. Small world! I guess it was just meant to be.

I have always been obsessed with old homes, they are built to last! It definitely needs a lot of work on the inside but the bones are great, so excited to make this house our home.
